Project Overview
Designing an interactive kiosk experience to improve wayfinding, navigation, and visitor
engagement at AIG's Atlanta Innovation Hub.
The Problem
AIG needed an intuitive way for visitors, employees, and partners to navigate its new
Innovation Hub while showcasing the company's innovation and brand experience beyond
traditional wayfinding.
The Solution
Our team designed an interactive digital concierge that combines wayfinding, accessibility
features, and engaging content to help users confidently navigate the Innovation Hub
while exploring AIG and the surrounding Atlanta community.
This quarter, I worked on a client-based SCADpro project with AIG's Atlanta Innovation Hub to design an interactive kiosk experience focused on improving wayfinding, navigation, and visitor engagement.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, I helped explore how employees, visitors, and partners could move through the space more confidently while also learning more about AIG and the surrounding Atlanta area. My role focused on developing user flows, creating high-fidelity interface screens, and designing clear wayfinding interactions for a large-scale 4K kiosk display.
The final concept brought together building navigation, destination lookup, Explore ATL recommendations, AIG storytelling, and interactive engagement features into one cohesive experience. Through this project, I strengthened my ability to design for physical spaces, consider different user needs, and create digital tools that support clearer, more intuitive navigation.

Key Contribution
Conducted competitor research on kiosk experiences and AIG to inform design decisions.
Designed high-fidelity Figma prototypes for the Explore ATL and About AIG features.
Created a user manual explaining how to navigate and interact with the Figma prototype.
Research Method
89012
Employee Interviews
Interviewed current AIG employees to understand workflows, visitor interactions, and wayfinding needs.
90123
Personas & Journeys
Developed personas and user journeys for a potential client, partner representative, and AIG employee.
78901
Site Visit
Visited AIG's 9th Floor Innovation Hub to observe the physical environment and validate design decisions.
90123weeks
Research Phase
Conducted research over three weeks through interviews, competitive analysis, and site observations.
Key Findings
01
Employees shared that guests need quick, intuitive navigation upon arrival.
02
Research showed opportunities to extend wayfinding with AIG storytelling & local resources.
03
AIG's innovation should be communicated through usability, not complexity.
Visual Directions
On the Horizon
During our site visit, we found that the 9th-floor views of Atlanta's skyline and surrounding greenery helped define the Innovation Hub's atmosphere. This inspired a concept that embraced AIG's minimal aesthetic to reinforce a sense of professionalism.
Future Forward
AIG's mission is to help clients build a secure future through innovation. The Innovation Hub reflects this vision by highlighting emerging technologies like Generative AI. "Future Forward" presents AIG through a modern, forward-thinking visual identity.
United in Innovation
Innovation can mean different things to different people, so we explored how to represent it visually. "United in Innovation" uses 3D design and glass textures to create a modern experience that reflects AIG's commitment to transparency, trust, and the future.
Exploration & Iterations

Low-fi
AIG wanted combinations of the cityline motion from On the Horizon with the color palette of Future Forward. We then created low-fidelity wireframes to define the core flows.

Mid-fi
We tested and iterated on layouts, navigation, and content hierarchy, refining the experience before applying the final visual design.

High-fi
We brought the experience to life by applying AIG's visual identity, polished UI, and interactive prototypes for the final client presentation.
Final Design Implementation
The final kiosk brings together navigation, storytelling, and community to create a connected experience for AIG's Innovation Hub.
Designed for both first-time visitors and AIG employees, the kiosk creates a connected experience that blends intuitive navigation, company storytelling, local discovery, and employee engagement into a single platform.
QR code handoffs extend key interactions beyond the kiosk, allowing users to seamlessly continue tasks on their mobile devices. Together, these touchpoints transform the kiosk into a welcoming destination that reflects AIG's commitment to innovation and hospitality.
Homepage
The homepage welcomes visitors with an animated Atlanta-inspired cityscape and provides quick access to Map, About, Explore ATL, and Photo Booth. Accessibility features ensure an inclusive experience.
Map
The Map page helps users find available rooms by floor and room type. Once selected, an interactive map provides turn-by-turn directions, while a QR code handoff lets employees reserve the room in the AIG app.
About
The About page introduces visitors to AIG through articles, videos, and company highlights, creating opportunities to learn about the company's history, innovation, and impact.
Explore ATL
The Explore ATL page helps visitors discover nearby attractions by category. Each destination includes detailed information and a QR code handoff for directions on their mobile device.
Photo Booth
The Photo Booth encourages employees to capture and download photos through a QR code handoff, creating memorable moments that foster community and bring users back to the kiosk.
Takeaway
Great design comes from collaboration, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change.
This project was my first opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and my first client-based design experience. It taught me the importance of staying flexible as project requirements evolved and adapting my work to changing client needs. I also gained valuable experience presenting research findings, communicating design decisions, and showcasing interactive prototypes in a way that was clear and engaging for stakeholders.
Collaborating with teammates from different disciplines showed me how diverse expertise leads to stronger design solutions. More than anything, this project reinforced that successful design is just as much about collaboration and communication as it is about creating meaningful user experiences.
